Asucaga related spoilers, don't read if you're not a fan

Noooooooo T______T Why..why where there's 5 episodes left, do they do this!? It's just rumors, so I try not to take it too seriously. I would prefer if they did it like..in...episode 35 >.>

In Episode 45, Cagalli returns the ring to Athrun. Meyrin and Cagalli will have a talk. It seems that Athrun and Cagalli become independent and go their seperate ways to solve their own problems. Episode 45 and 46 will have some Athrun and Meer.

I'm guessing Athrun goes to save Meer? And I'm also guessing that Cagalli returns the ring to him as she needs to take care of ORB first. Or maybe she gives it back to him and says, "You come back alive and give this to me again."

My thoughts:

@_@ Fukuda how can you do this us?  In the last five episodes no less!  There's no more time to fix them!  I swear the man is trying to use the stress of this all to kill the Asucaga fans :/

But at the same time, I'm kind of dazzled by the daring and ambitious potential this has (if only Shikami could write it).  If this is done right, I have a feeling that this could restore the lustre asucaga had in Seed.  And I have a feeling that NT is hinting that it will *cheers* and will hopefully lead Asucaga to more mature love.  Episode 45 has the aura of Episode 8: thrilling, scary, surprizing and delighting at the same time and hopefully it'll give us all the answers Episode 8 never gave.  *Finger are crossed* that they can pull this thing off ^_^

And *what* of Cagalli's conversation with Meyrin.  What's that all about?  Is the littlest Hawke sister going to be convince Cagalli that she and Athrun need to get married to be a symbol of unity between Coordinators and Naturals?  Nah, I'd rather Cagalli figure that out on her own.  Or is Cagalli going to turn Athrun down without an excuse, and is Meyrin going to get the explanation?  Or is Meyrin going to do something with Athrun that convinces Cagalli to break up with him?
The suspense is killing me, and all I can say is, I hope this is the end.  As someone said on animesuki, hopefully, after the Harem-bowl is over, they'll replace the group shot of the Harem with a proper shot of Asucaga.

Yeah I think their separation has a lot of potential, as I've stated before. More than anything else right now, I want the two to become stronger individuals who can handle their problems themselves. And if they do that, they can surely handle their relationship better if/when they decide to resume it. Although at the same time I can't help but feel depressed, just a bit.

I want to know what Meyrin and Cagalli talk about as well. The suspense is killing me too

I totally know what u mean. They're not a lost cause. They both had good intentions, but things just spun out of control. I think they can get back together and be stronger than ever if they handle their problems on their own.

Me too. And I'm especially interested since they highlighted it so early. It must be wonderful.

Whatever they end up talking about, its going to be a refreshing change. I've seen a lot of male bonding sessions (Athrun/Kira, Athrun/Shinn), and its high time they had a nice moment between two girls XD

^_^ Go them as a couple too! They aren't a lost cause, and never were. They both just need their space. This little "breakup" may be the best thing for them yet. Sad, but good for them. Its also realistic.

Yeah but even though it'll be realistic I still want to actually *see* them reconcile; I don't want a cop-out ending with just an epilogue stating, "The two eventually reconciled after the war and after a few months, had a wedding. Naturals and Coordinators, Athrun and Cagalli; they all lived happily ever after. The End."

I'd feel so cheated. I mean, a part of me really does want them to break up, temporarily. Its just that if they do break up, their reconcilation might be offscreen. And I just don't want that to happen. I want to see it progress in an OVA, and then maybe they can have a wedding in an OVA II. I mean, I know its too much to ask, but for now this is how I feel.

Remember Asucaga met in ep 24, which is half way through the series and they still had plenty of time for development. I still think they can put them back together, give us some intense moments, replace the horrible, crowded group shot of the girls of the Harem-bowl with a nice Asucaga one, and we won't feel cheated. But above all else, I'd really, really, like to see interaction. And then the wedding comes next, maybe in a five minute OVA.

I would *<3* interaction. And I know Asucaga only met in Phase 24, and still had plenty of development, so that gives me hope. It really does. Its just a part of me really wonders if they can pull this off in *5* episodes, if they go the route we're thinking they're going...I mean even AsuCaga had like 25 more eps left after their first meeting.

But you're right; they might be able to pull this off yet. I say this out of the faith I have from what I saw in SEED. XD

They can pull this off in 5 if they legitimately make it a large part of the plot. Other than that, I don't see how they can make it happen.

Here to bring in my own brand of pessimism. Sorry to say, as much as I would like to believe it, I don't see this separation thing being pulled off well if it actually does occur. Though it might be good for their individual development. there are much more important and long-standing issues that should be dealt with first. I'm sick of this constant drama surrounding asucaga. Dear God, I totally understand what Kat said now with it being depressing. >__>

No don't say that. ;_; I think like Shouki said on Animesuki it's very open ended, and could lead to either way. Honestly, I think it would be great if Cagalli gave the ring back, they work out their problems and then he gives it back to her...but there is no time and this is Fukuda we are talking about. He's going to go the most obviously route. o_o; I just don't see him having the abilities to tell a complicated story like the one I imagined.

I could see Cagalli "giving him up" for his own good, but otherwise I don't see a reason for her to dump him. He's not going to do anything with Meyrin, that's just not who he is.

I like other pairings besides Asucaga, but I really do want them to work out in the end. I must say I am worried though. Basically if Asucaga break up that's a good chance one of them might die. This is just too much. ;-;

But Cagalli giving back the ring isn't the most obvious thing. No one saw that coming at 45. Maybe 25, but not 45. So I'm going to hope for the miracle of Fukuda being able to put this thing together.

Yeah, that's why I don't see her giving it back. There just isn't much time to tell the story. I think after 45 Asucaga will either be together or apart for good. After that there is just no time to tell more story for them imo.

Anyway, we'll see I think. But hopefully we are all getting worried for nothing.

I think something going to go on with the ring. There's too much spoilage saying so, and it's coming from good sources, not like the rumor about Cagalli dying. Either she takes it off or gets an upgrade.

You're right, hopefully we're worried over nothing.

It's ok to worry. Bad things have happened to Asucaga before (like episode 25). Fukuda wants us to worry, either way we worried for a good reason, or we'll have something fantastic to see in 45.

After reading all of this, yes, it would be a miracle if they got back together and yes I've lost nearly all faith with Fukuda ever since SEED 1. And it has been proven time and time again and it still seems to be going when he should be worried about making sure that his show has a clean finish so when the brass do get their heads out of their ass and finally fire him and his moltey crew for what they have done to Gundam in general then in his view, if he truly cares about his work like other directors, anime or otherwise, at least he will go out with what tiny little honor he has left. I

After SEED Destiny is over, they should cancel CE and just start over again for SEED and SEED Destiny have been plauged with problems that have virtually made it the pariah of Gundam alongside G-Savior. If they will make a news series in a new universe and all and have a heavy romance element in it then take the good parts of AxC (from SEED) and intergrate them in and have no frakking (blame me for using that word from BattleStar Galactica)romacne triangles like the ones that damm nearly screwed up KxL and are almost close to doing the same thing to AxC.

I may post a little ramble about my experience with all of this and list in my view about the problems of SEED Destiny. In the meantime, how about check out my SEED fanfic and see whether it is better than Destiny.
